🌏 Berlin / Remote
We’re building the world’s best AI meeting assistant. We’re an early-stage, fast-moving startup looking for a passionate Customer Engineer to join our core team in Berlin (hybrid/remote possible). You’ll be the technical bridge between our users and our product, ensuring our customers have a magical experience while helping us scale our support operations.
Jamie is on a mission to create a meaningful product that writes the world’s best meeting notes, powered by AI. We’re driven to eliminate the burden of meeting documentation and unlock insights from conversations. We are an early-stage startup working closely with initial customers to build a magical product with real-world impact.
We believe in shipping fast, learning constantly, and building a product users love.
We’re seeking a talented and empathetic Customer Engineer to join our team. This is a unique hybrid role: you will be the face of technical success for our clients while retaining your hands-on engineering skills.
You will spend roughly 80% of your time working directly with customers—onboarding enterprise clients, debugging complex issues, and automating support workflows. The other 20% of your time will be spent shipping product features and improvements based on the insights you gather from users.
Customer Success & Onboarding:Â Guide enterprise clients through the technical onboarding process, ensuring smooth integration of Jamie into their daily workflows.
Technical Troubleshooting:Â Hop on calls with customers to debug unique issues, dive into logs to identify root causes, and solve problems that go beyond a standard support script.
Scale Support Operations: Build tools, scripts, and automations to make our support processes more efficient. If you see a repetitive task, you’ll write code to kill it.
Bridge the Feedback Loop: Act as the voice of the customer within the product team. You’ll identify friction points and directly implement product fixes or features to improve the user experience.
You will need to be comfortable navigating our codebase to debug issues and build tools. We are running on modern tech:
🤖 Nextjs is our web framework of choice - hosted on Cloudflare 🧑‍💻 Python for serving custom ML models on Modal 🔍 Betterstack, Sentry for observability ♾️ Langfuse for prompt versioning & tracing 💻 Tauri, Rust to ship to Windows & macOS 💅🏼 Shadcn & Tailwind for making things look pretty 〰️ Linear & GitHub for issue tracking 🗂️ Slack, Notion & Intercom/Zendesk for communication
Customer-Obsessed Engineer:Â You enjoy talking to people as much as you enjoy writing code. You have high empathy and patience when helping non-technical users.
Problem Solver:Â You love the detective work of debugging. You can trace an issue from a user report down to a specific line of code or infrastructure bottleneck.
